This session will focus on school fund accounting requirements based on provisions in the Massachusetts General Laws pertaining to School Finance. Specifically, this class will cover Special Revenue and Other Funds including:

  • Gifts and Donations
  • Revolving including School Lunch Revolving, Rent Deposit School Facility, School Usage, Driver Education, Industrial Arts, Lost School Books, School Athletics, Adult Education, School Choice, School Custodian Detail, and Parking Fees
  • Lease of School Property
  • Receipt Reserved for Appropriations
  • Culinary Arts and Vocational Programs
  • State and Federal Grants
  • Circuit Breaker
  • SFSF Funds
  • Permanent Funds
  • Stabilization Funds
  • Expendable and Non Expendable Trust Funds
  • Private Purpose Trust Funds
  • Student Activity Accounts (Agency)
  • Other Agency Funds
  • Regional Excess and Deficiency Calculation and Rules

If you need a class to provide you with basic fund accounting requirements for School Finance, then this class is for you. Up to four people may attend.
