The next Martha's Vineyard Chapter 70 and Net School Spending Workshop will be held on Friday afternoon, August 6, 2010, at the Martha’s Vineyard Regional School District. This workshop will focus on how your local contribution, Chapter 70 distribution and FY11 final required net school spending are calculated.

This workshop will update you on (1) the final FY11 numbers, (2) how your community’s FY11 final numbers are computed (3) equity issues based on the FY11 final numbers and DOE’s Aggregate Wealth Model and (4) any adequacy issues.   Like all net school spending workshops, this session will review your district’s numbers by detailing the foundation budget, local contribution, State Chapter 70 distribution, and net school spending numbers. Bring your laptops so you can learn the formula in a small, informal setting.

Please join us on Friday afternoon, August 6, 2010, in a relaxed setting at the Martha’s Vineyard Regional School District by completing and faxing or mailing the attached registration form. The afternoon workshop will allow those of you who wish to do a day trip the time to catch a morning ferry, spend time on the Island, learn the FY11 Final NSS numbers, and return home.

Please join us by completing the Registration Form.
