The Abrahams Group and the Massachusetts Association of Regional Schools (MARS) are pleased to announce the next How to Prepare GASB 34 Fund Financial Statements Class will be conducted on Thursday, October 4, 2018 and Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at the Assabet Valley Regional High School. This class is offered to municipal and school officials and private sector individuals and related staff that desires a basic course in preparing GASB Fund financial statements.

With SAS 112 and 115, it is important for you to have a working knowledge of your financial statements. This class will teach you how to tweak the E&D and Free Cash Balance Sheet to prepare your GASB 34 Fund Perspective Balance Sheets. By preparing these balance sheets, you will have the template and the knowledge to prepare these statements in subsequent years, while reducing your audit fee permanently going forward. Then we will discuss other fund statements and the Government Wide Statements and the Management's Discussion and Analysis (MD&A).
